Retail Pro 9 Program Capacities

The following alphabetical list indicates the maximums allowed for various files, documents, and settings in Retail Pro 9 and 8.

About Document Capacities in Retail Pro 9

In Retail Pro 9, a preference controls the maximum number of items that can be placed on documents, either the RP 8 limit, or 5,000 items. Purchase orders always have a maximum limit of 8,000 items and ignore the preference.

To increase the document limit to 5,000 items:

1.      Select Options > System Preferences from the home screen. Select Local Preferences > Documents > General.

2.      Select the checkbox for “Increase document limit to 5000 items.”

When you select the checkbox, a confirmation dialog is displayed. Select Yes to confirm the increase. 

 

3.      Select Update to save and exit preferences.
